NOMAD Founding Member and Co-Executive Director of NOMAD
There are no words that give enough power, love and respect to our loved Chris. He was our go to, our salvation in the moments we wanted to quit, our grounding spirit when we wanted to burn it all down. Chris was going to transition into the co-executive director of NOMAD once he was able to leave his position at the city of Revere in 2024. Our plan and goal was to make our own path and take with us the lessons we had learned and to create a new program grounded in harm reduction principles both for the people seeking services and those who we employed. The loss I feel for Chris can't be quantified. This project feels lifeless without his support, he was a force and an inspiration. Where we will go without him remains to be seen. The world is a darker place without his light. And he was funny as hell, I will miss the laughs the most. Chris Alba is a lifelong resident of Revere, MA. Chris has been an advocate for people who use drugs for decades. Chris is a skilled trainer on topics such as harm reduction, street outreach, overdose prevention and response and program development.
